Armendarez highlighted the following issues on his campaign website:

As a father, husband, small businessman, and Planning Commissioner, I will partner with you to build a better future for our children. By focusing on putting children first in the Fontana Unified School District, I believe that we can give students the education they need to succeed in life. I believe that students should be given a variety of options, including the option of choosing a vocation or a college education after high school. Working with you, we can create pathways for students to succeed in whatever they choose to do after school.

Our children are the future leaders of Fontana, let's give them the tools they need to succeed.

I, Jesse Armendarez, ask for your vote on November 4, 2014, because together we will put students first.[2]
