Biography
Jesse Arreguín was born in Fresno, California. He was elected mayor of Berkeley, California, in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. He previously served as a member of the Berkeley City Council from 2008 to 2016 and as a member of the Berkeley Housing Commission and Rent Stabilization Board from 2004 to 2009. As of 2024, Arreguín was the president of the Association of Bay Area Governments.[1]
