Jesse Knight is the District 3 representative on the Waterloo Community Schools School Board in Iowa. The seat was up for general election on September 8, 2015. Knight ran unopposed.[1][2]
Biography
Knight is a hydraulic design engineer at John Deere. He coaches youth sports in the community. He also is a parent volunteer with the Wahawk Wrestling Club and West High School wrestling team. He is a mentor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters and volunteers with Junior Achievement. Knight obtained his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Kentucky.[3]

2015
Four of the seven seats on the Waterloo Community Schools School Board were up for election on September 8, 2015. Two seats represented the district at-large, one seat represented District 2 and one seat represented District 3.
In District 2, incumbent Sue Flynn ran unopposed. The District 3 incumbent, Mike Young, did not seek re-election, leaving Jesse Knight running unopposed. Incumbent Lyle Schmitt and Rhonda McRina also ran unopposed for the two available at-large seats. All candidates won their elections, without any significant write-in challengers.[4][5][6]

Funding
Knight reported no contributions or expenditures to the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board during the election.[7] Any candidate spending, receiving or incurring debt in the amount of $1,000 or less was not required to file the disclosure form for campaign finances.[8]
