The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Wendy Gabriella (D) and William "Bill" Brough (R) defeated Anna Bryson (R), Paul G. Glaab (R) and Jesse Petrilla (R) in the blanket primary. Brough defeated Gabriella in the general election.[2][3][4]
