Jesse Wright
Jesse Wright was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 2 of the Kentucky House of Representatives.[1]
Wright was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 2 of the Kentucky House of Representatives. He was defeated in the general election.[2]
Biography
A native Kentuckian, Wright grew up in Mayfield, Kentucky and graduated from Mayfield High School in 1997.[3]
Wright then earned his a degree in engineering from the University of Kentucky. Following graduation, he worked as a project engineer before attending law school. He earned his J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law.[3]
After practicing law in Georgia, Wright returned to Mayfield where he opened his own law practice. He later went on to become the managing owner of Kemp & Wright, PLLC, a position he continues to hold.[3]

Elections for the Kentucky House of Representatives took place in 2016. The primary election took place on May 17, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was January 26, 2016.
Incumbent Richard Heath defeated Jesse Wright in the Kentucky House of Representatives District 2 general election.[4][5]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Jesse Wright ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Richard Heath ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Heath defeated Wright in the general election.[2][8][9]
