Jessica Altagracia Woolford is a mom, a wife, a caregiver, and an organizer. She grew up in Kingsbridge, raised by incredibly brave and resilient Dominican women. Jessica's abuela taught her that care should never be conditional. And that with faith, anything is possible. In one of the wealthiest cities in the United States, no one should go without care in the northwest Bronx.
Jessica believes that in one of the wealthiest cities in the world, no one should go hungry. As an Assembly Member, Jessica will work to build and support connections between small businesses and local organizations to provide neighbors in need with fresh produce and other important staples. She will also work to pass legislation to support food rescue work from large, corporate chains and also will advocate for the conversion of the Kingsbridge Armory into a hydroponic farm.
