I am a passionate advocate for families, fiscal responsibility, and education reform. As a lifelong resident of the Fox Valley, I am running for State Senate in Illinois’ 33rd District to fight for the working families who are being asked to do more with less.

As a former teacher and education consultant, I have spent years advocating for students and families. While my kids were growing up I had regular presence at local school board meetings, asking tough questions about curriculum, spending, and transparency. My service to community includes the Geneva Academic Foundation and scholarship committees with the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, working to ensure students of all backgrounds have the support they need to succeed.

I'm a mom who understands what Illinois families are going through. I know firsthand how hard it is to stretch a paycheck while the cost of living continues to rise.

I am done watching politicians in Springfield push billions in new taxes—like a delivery tax, a service tax, and other proposals that would hit families and small businesses hardest.

I am NOT a career politician. I am a mom, a teacher, and a fighter who’s ready to bring real-world accountability to Springfield. I am ready to stand up for you—because Illinois families deserve better.
  • The most pressing issue in our district is the high cost of living driven by ever-increasing taxes and fees. Everywhere I go, families tell me they are struggling to afford basics like groceries, gas, and utilities. My goal is to make Illinois more business-friendly and family-friendly. If we lower the cost of living through tax relief and regulatory reform, we can help bring back jobs and people to our state. Simply put, families need a break, and I will champion policies that let working people keep more of their hard-earned money rather than funding ever-bigger government. Springfield needs reform-minded legislators who will say “enough” to constant tax hikes and focus on growing the economy instead.
  • As a former teacher, homeschool parent, and philanthropist, I have seen how bureaucracy and red tape have left families in the dark. I know what it’s like to fight for your child’s education. That’s why I'm committed to restoring transparency, demanding accountability, and giving parents a real voice in the classroom. Education should serve students and families — not political agendas. As IL continues to rank in the bottom of proficiency standards for reading and writing, it is more important than ever to get back to basics and actually teach our kids math, writing and reading instead of political agendas.
  • Protect Girls’ Sports- I am a former competitive gymnast and coach who knows firsthand what sports can teach young women: confidence, discipline, and leadership. I believe in protecting fairness in girls’ sports and support policies that ensure biological females compete on a level playing field. This isn’t political — it’s about protecting opportunity and respecting the hard work of young women across Illinois. I believe fairness is not negotiable — every girl deserves a level playing field and a chance to compete with confidence.
Education- I have spent most of my adult life in education and non-profit work to lift the opportunities for those that are impoverished and underprivileged. By teaching children life skills and giving them greater educational opportunities we can make a bigger impact on their quality of life. I do not believe that zip code should determine educational outcomes and I am a big proponent of school choice.
State Senator Don DeWitte, McHenry County Sheriff Robb Tadelman, Daily Herald, Chicago Tribune, West Chicago Alderman Joe Morano, Elburn trustee Chris Hansen, ABATE, Former State Rep Mike Tryon, South Elgin Mayor Steve Ward, and Former McHenry County Board Chairman Ken Koehler
