Jessica M. Delgado is a judge of the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. Delgado assumed office in 2021. Delgado's current term ends on January 8, 2029.

Delgado won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California outright in the primary on June 7, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.

She was appointed to the court on March 25, 2021 by Gavin Newsom (D) to replace Rise Jones Pichon.[1]

Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing Delgado's appointment on March 25, 2021, identified her as a Democrat.[1]

Biography

Delgado received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She served as an Attorney in the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office from 2001 to 2009. From 2009 until her appointment, she served as an Attorney at the Santa Clara County Alternate Defender’s Office.[1]
