An elected official has been selected by the people to represent the people's interest and to bring forth new ideas that will be of benefit to the people. An elected official must work hard to bring about positive change and to prevent harm by zealously advocating for his/her constituents. Zealous advocacy must be tempered with honesty, integrity, and lack of self-interest.
I am honest and hard working. I have strong advocacy and leadership skills. I understand what it takes to represent and advocate for people since this is what I do as a trial attorney.
Representing the needs of ALL Virginians with a particular emphasis on the needs of the individual district.
I am not running to be somebody, I am running to do something.
I had so many jobs growing up, I cannot remember my first one. I worked throughout high-school and undergrad. I was a store clerk at an amusement park for for many seasons while also working at a night shop to save money for college. During college, I worked in a jewelry store.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it is a time for families to gather and be thankful for our many fortunes. And fall foods are my favorite!
The Harry Potter Series. The series is very much about friendship, bravery, and keeping an open mind.
The biggest struggle for me was when my family moved from Virginia to Belgium when I was 12 years old. I left behind all of my friends to begin school in a foreign country, in a foreign language. I remember it being a very traumatic event at the time but now, as an adult, I see the many benefits I gained from my experience abroad.
Overcoming the educational shortcomings so that localities receive the state assistance they need to invest in their schools; ensuring healthcare to ALL Virginians; shifting away from fossil fuel reliance and eliminating single use plastics.
The ideal relationship between he government and the state legislature is one where they two can work together to accomplish real, tangible benefits for their residents.
Of course, otherwise, nothing gets done. Because of power sharing, legislators depend upon their colleagues from the other side of the aisle to support their bills. They must foster relationships and work with their colleagues to earn their support.
Independent redistricting committee that removes party favoritism.
