Jessica Wellington is a wife and a mom. She has a bachelor's in political science from Baylor and a master's in business from Texas A&M Commerce. She has a background in community news, worked as a district director for a U.S. Congressman and is a small business owner.
  • I want to give the government's power back to the people of TX-08. I will always seek their input in all of my decisions. They will always come first. I believe in putting people before politics.
  • We have to stop sending money to countries that hate us. We need to use American taxpayer dollars to invest in our own country. Also, hard-working Americans should be able to keep more of their paychecks.
  • We need to stop the federal government from overreach, protect the U.S. Constitution and ensure the state of Texas can operate without interference from DC.
I love politics in general. Im interested in all types of public policy, especially, those that impact my district and state directly.
An elected official must possess integrity, resolve, determination and a dedication to the people of her district.
An elected official must engage in district outreach, constituent services, champion legislation and create successful working relationships with all of the leaders in the district. She must be willing to show up for her constituents in a time of crisis.
