Jesus "Toy" Amaya is the Place 4 representative on the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District school board in Texas. First elected in 2004, Amaya was automatically re-elected on August 28, 2017, after the election scheduled for November 7, 2017, was canceled due to lack of opposition.[1]

Two of seven seats on the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District school board in Texas were scheduled for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. Incumbents Rey Farias and Jesus Amaya were the only candidates to file for seats in Places 3 and 4, respectively. The election was canceled after the filing deadline on August 21, 2017, due to lack of opposition.[1]
