Campaign themes

2020

2016

Andrade's campaign website listed the following themes for 2016:

NEW AND EXPANDED FAMILY BUSINESSES
Small family-owned businesses are the backbone of our city. South Stockton needs a City Government that will empower and promote business expansion. Small businesses bring the community and families closer together by keeping parents close to home, allowing flexible hours for spending time with family, mentoring, coaching or other community involvement.

SAFE STREETS
Too often politicians pay lip service to South Stockton's crime problem. THIS IS OUR HOME; we need to protect it and demand to have safe public spaces where residents and children can interact with each other without fear. This would include thinking outside of the box to offer new recreational programs and facilities for our youth.

JOB PROSPECTS THROUGH EDUCATION
Students need opportunities that will guarantee they have the skills to find work in the ever-evolving job market. These would include vocational and continuing education. These offerings should not only be for those still in school, they should be for everyone.

POLITICAL REFORM
In Sunday School I was taught to 'Love my Neighbor'. It seems that many of our elected officials have forgotten or never learned that lesson. We need to work together to solve the problems of our city while standing firm to ensure South Stockton's voice is heard. I also support a transparency ordinance so we know whose money is influencing our representatives. [2]
