Jill Deborah Dorancy is a judge of the Colorado 2nd Judicial District. She assumed office in 2020. Her current term ends on January 12, 2027.
Dorancy ran for re-election for judge of the Colorado 2nd Judicial District. She won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
Dorancy was appointed by Gov. Jared Polis (D) on July 1, 2020, to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Elizabeth Starrs.[1]
Education
Dorancy earned an undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton in 1995, and a J.D. from the University of New Mexico in 1998.[1]
Career
From 2017 to 2020, Dorancy worked as a Counsel for Jost Energy Law, P.C., working on oil and gas litigation and regulation.[1]
