Jill Flagg Lanzinger
Jill Flagg Lanzinger (Republican Party) is a judge of the Ohio Ninth District Court of Appeals. She assumed office on February 11, 2023. Her current term ends on February 10, 2029.
Lanzinger (Republican Party) is running for election for judge of the Ohio Supreme Court. She declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on May 5, 2026.[source]
Lanzinger became a judge of the Barberton Municipal Court in February 2015. She presided over the Drug Court and the Mental Health Court.[1]
Biography
Lanzinger received her undergraduate degree from Heidelberg College in 2001 and her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 2004.[2]
Prior to joining the Barberton Municipal Court, she worked as an attorney in private practice in both civil and criminal law. She was also a substitute magistrate for the Akron Municipal Court from 2007 to 2014.[2]

Note: After incumbent Judge Lynne Callahan decided to retire after the May 3 primary, the Republican Party nominated Jill Flagg Lanzinger to run as the Republican candidate in the general election. Flagg Lanzinger withdrew from an election to another seat on the court in order to replace Callahan.[3]

Primary: She ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 25.8 percent of the vote. She competed against incumbent Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio.[5][6]
