Jill Quigley
Jill Quigley was a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 17th District. She served from 2009-2011.
Prior to her election, Quigley worked in various nursing positions for over 35 years. She has been an outreach coordinator with Southwest Boulevard Family Healthcare. She received her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Missouri and her M.S. in Nursing from the University of Michigan.[1]
Quigley is a member of the Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties and has served in numerous positions on the PTA of Rising Star Elementary School, Trailridge Middle School, and Shawnee Mission Northwest High School.
She has been married to her husband Jim since 1975, they have three children.
Policy positions
Quigley's website lists her legislative priorities as keeping public schools strong, inproving access to health care, and keeping the state's economy strong.[2]
She refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[3]

In the August 3rd primary election, Quigley was defeated by Republican primary opponent Kelly Meigs by a margin of 1,934 to 1,694.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Quigley was elected to the 17th District Seat in the Kansas House of Representatives, defeating Ed Coleman (D) and Michael Kerner (L).[5] Quigley raised $31,568 for her campaign, while Coleman raised $86 and Kerner raised $0.[6]
