Jill S. Mattoon is a former judge of the 10th District Court in Colorado. She served on the court from 2006 to 2020. Mattoon was initially appointed to the court in 2006 by Gov. Bill Owens (R) and retired on February 8, 2020.[1]

Biography

Mattoon received a B.A. degree in environmental conservation from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She then earned her J.D. degree from the California Western School of Law. Mattoon began her career as a deputy district attorney in Pueblo, Colo., primarily working on cases involving crimes against children. She became a lawyer with the firm of Peterson & Fonda, P.C. She was appointed an administrative law judge in 2000. She worked in this capacity presiding over worker's compensation cases until her elevation to the district court in 2006.[2]
