Biography

Jim Buterbaugh was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1973-1977.[1] His career experience includes working in carpentry and concrete roofing.[2]

I am a 65 year old, 31 year resident of Whitehall. I have 3 kids, 3 grandkids. I am retired and maintain the Cardwell School. I am a member of the Community of Christ Church and maintain the church reunion campgrounds during the summer. I am a veteran. Married to a retired school teacher. I have a strong belief in the Constitution and Laws of Montana and the United States.
  • Voter integrity is a necessity. Voter I.D. a must.
  • Help to control government growth and taxes
  • Education needs to include a thorough training of American History and Civics.
I am here to serve my district in any way I can. Any decisions have to be based in the Constitution and laws of Montana and the United States
My mom. She was strict. Rules are rules and you best follow them. But she was good with the rewards
Honesty. Belief in our country and it's constitution. Love hard work, hate giving up
Treat others respect. Ensure the safety and growth of the citizens of Montana, not the government
Launch of Sputnik. Assassination of JFK, RFK and MLK. Superbowl I. Yuri Garani, Alan Shepard and John Glenn's launch to space. The Beatles arrived in America. There was so much in the 60s. What a time to grow up.
My first job was at the Eagle Sinclair Truckstop. Eagle, Colorado. Back when the hourly pay rate was something around . 1.85 per hour. I worked there for over a year. Up to when the owner disappeared because of tax evasion. I heard he moved to Canada.

It was an interesting study of behavior when people are cut off from the rest of the world.

Hans Solo. Somebody who likes to think of himself as cavalier, but always ends up doing the right thing.
My first wife and I lost a baby in a fire in the 80s.
Finances. The burden that covid has left us with is going to take a lot of work.
Absolutely. No plan can stand with the work of just one person. any idea needs others to ensure that it works for many
Joe Robertson. The Navy veteran that went to jail at 80 years old for digging a pond on his property. His story is long and shows how far people will go when they have a vendetta against someone. They even transferred him to the max security jail in Colorado, which made it near impossible fr his wife to visit.
