Jim Bynum was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 3 of the Oklahoma State Senate. He graduated with a pre-med degree from Northeastern State University and earned went on to earn his master's in education. He spent 15 years advocating for public schools at the Oklahoma State Capitol.[1]

Bynum ran in the 2012 election for Oklahoma Senate District 3. Bynum defeated Brian Sitsler in the Democratic primary on June 26. He was defeated in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4][5][6]
