Jim C. Shirley is a judge of the Sixth District Court in Nevada. Shirley was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expires on January 3, 2021. He replaced retired Judge Richard A. Wagner.[1]

Education

Shirley received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 1991 and his J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law in 1994.[2]

Shirley ran for election to the Sixth District Court.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on June 10, 2014, receiving 40.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Kevin L. Pasquale and Todd Plimpton.
General: He defeated Todd Plimpton in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 53.3 percent of the vote. [1][4]
