Jim Collins
James R. "Jim" Collins is a former magistrate judge for the Twenty-Fifth Judicial District of the District Courts in Kansas. He was appointed in 1999 and ran for retention in 2012 to maintain his seat.[1] Collins retired from the court on October 3, 2016.[2]
Education
Collins earned his undergraduate degree from Wichita State University.[3]
Career
Collins was appointed to the Twenty-Fifth Judicial District in 1999. Before his appointment he worked as a court services officer.[3]
Elections
2012
Collins stood for retention on Nov. 6, 2012.[4] He was successful in his bid for retention, earning 84.6% of the vote with 1,534 yes votes.[1]
