Foley provided the following statement for the Washington general election voters pamphlet:
“ |
My name is Jim Foley, and I want to be your next Superior Court Judge. I have spent almost every day of the last twenty-six years in Court. I’ve helped hundreds of people with their legal matters and practiced before every level of court in the state. I have tried over 200 cases to a jury verdict. I will be a fair and effective judge. I am not a lifetime Prosecutor. I don’t believe in building walls and mass deportations. Every person who appears in my court will be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their color, gender, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. I am deeply committed to our community. I’ve lived in Thurston County for over thirty years and raised three wonderful children here – Nick, Dinah, and Finn. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer and served on the YMCA Board and the Bar Association. I won’t just be tough on crime; I will be smart on crime. I wholly support our Specialty Courts to serve the most downtrodden in our community. I have the knowledge, humanity and temperament for the job and look forward to serving our community as Superior Court Judge. Thank You.[1][2] |
