Jim Grigsby is the Districts 13 and 14 representative on the Hamblen County Board of Education in Tennessee. He first joined the board in 2000.[1]

Grigsby sought another term in the general election on August 4, 2016.[2] He successfully won re-election to his seat.[3]

Grigsby is a retired businessman. He worked in the insurance industry. He serves as a board member with the Hamblen County P-16 Council and is a previous board member of HC*Excell. Grigsby is a member of the First Baptist Church of Morristown. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee. He and his wife have two children.[1]

Three of the seven seats on the Hamblen County Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on August 4, 2016.[4] Incumbents Joe Gibson Jr. and Jim Grigsby ran unopposed and won the seats representing Districts 3 and 4 and 13 and 14, respectively. In the race for the seat representing Districts 7 and 8, incumbent Roger Greene defeated challenger Richard Tuttle to win another term.[2][5][3]
