Jim Shockley (b. September 12, 1944) is a former Republican member of the Montana State Senate, representing District 45 from 2005 to 2013. He ran for Attorney General of Montana in the 2012 election, but lost to Tim Fox in the primary contest on June 5, 2012.

Shockley earned his B.A. from the University of Montana in 1969. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Montana Law School in 1976.

Shockley was an Officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1966 and again from 1969 to 1988. He has been a private practice lawyer since 1989.

Shockley served in the Montana State House of Representatives from 1999 to 2005.

Shockley was a 2012 Republican primary candidate for attorney general. He was defeated by 2008 secretary of state candidate and Helena lawyer Tim Fox for their party's nomination on June 5.
