The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Claire L. Janowski was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Jim Tedford was unopposed in the Republican primary. Janowski defeated Tedford in the general election.[2][3]
