Candidate Connection

Jim Toomey participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on May 9, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Jim Toomey's responses follow below.[1]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1. Alabama must accept the Medicaid Expansion option that is available to us. We are leaving billions of dollars on the table each year.

2. More funding for Public Education, especially High Quality pre-k. We must prepare our students for 21st century jobs. 3. Corruption of our Public Officials. We must restore the confidence in our Elected Officials.[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Alabama is a State that is rich in natural resources. Did you know that 10% of all the freshwater in the Continental United States either originates in or flows through Alabama? I will fight to protect our valuable Natural Resources and be a good steward for our environment.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]
