Jim Troupis
Jim Troupis was a judge for the Dane County Circuit Court in Dane County, Wisconsin. He was appointed to the court by Republican Governor Scott Walker on May 22, 2015, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of John Albert. His term was set to expire in August 2016, but Troupis resigned from office on May 2, 2016, stating that he intended to seek appointment to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.[1][2]
Education
Troupis received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law.[1]
Career
Prior to his appointment to the Dane County Circuit Court, Troupis maintained his own law practice, specializing in intellectual property and constitutional law. He also previously practiced law with the firm of Michael Best & Friedrich and served as a law clerk for the Illinois Supreme Court.[1]
Troupis also served as a campaign attorney for Republican President Donald Trump.[3]
