Jim Wallace (Texas)
Jim Wallace was the judge of the 263rd District Court in Texas.[1] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that began on January 1, 2015. Wallace retired at the end of his term on December 31, 2018.[2]

Wallace ran for re-election to the 263rd District Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 57.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Robert Summerlin.
General: He defeated Herb Ritchie in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 54.1 percent of the vote.

Wallace defeated Democrat Alvin Nunnery in the general election for the 263rd District Court, winning 56% of the vote.[6][7]
Education
Wallace received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University at Commerce and his J.D. from the University of Houston.[8]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Wallace worked as a prosecutor and general counsel for a corporation. He also worked as a police officer.[9]
