I am proud to be endorsed by the Arizona Police Association, the Professional Firefighters of Arizona and the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. I moved from Illinois over thirty years ago to get my PhD from Arizona State University, met my wife and had twin sons. I’m proud to have the support of our first responders and business community. No other candidate in the race can claim such support.
  • Supporting our police officers. There is nothing more important than public safety. Our officers and firefighters know this and that’s why both strongly endorse me for Re-election.
  • We must have policies that support a strong economy and fight inflation. Phoenix has been on an economic roll and we must make sure our policies support the business community, especially small businesses. I’m proud to have the support of many business groups.
  • We have to continue to be responsible stewards of our water supply. Phoenix has done a great job managing its water and dramatically reducing per capita consumption. Recent developments in the district I represent are have been mandated to have as low a consumption level as any.
Our most pressing issue and the one I’m most passionate about is public safety. The Council as a whole treated the current police force poorly. This lead to a mass exodus of officers from our department. We are now having a difficult time hiring replacements. I had warned about this for years. We have to turn this situation around immediately.
