Jim Waring
Jim Waring is a member of the Phoenix City Council in Arizona, representing District 2. He assumed office in 2011. His current term ends on April 19, 2027.
Waring ran for re-election to the Phoenix City Council to represent District 2 in Arizona. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Before becoming a member of city council, Waring was a Republican member of the Arizona State Senate, representing District 7 from 2003-2010.[1] He resigned from his Senate seat on January 28, 2010, to run for the U.S. House of Representatives.[2]
Biography
Jim Waring earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University, a graduate degree from Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University.[3]

- Supporting our police officers. There is nothing more important than public safety. Our officers and firefighters know this and that’s why both strongly endorse me for Re-election.
- We must have policies that support a strong economy and fight inflation. Phoenix has been on an economic roll and we must make sure our policies support the business community, especially small businesses. I’m proud to have the support of many business groups.
- We have to continue to be responsible stewards of our water supply. Phoenix has done a great job managing its water and dramatically reducing per capita consumption. Recent developments in the district I represent are have been mandated to have as low a consumption level as any.
