Jim Wheelis
Jim Wheelis is a former district court judge for the 19th District Court in Montana.[1] He served until the conclusion of his term in December 2016.[2]
Elections
2010
Wheelis won 48 percent of the vote in the primary election for the 19th District Court, advancing him to the general election. He defeated Robert Slomski in the general election, winning 60.81 percent of the vote.[3]

Education
Wheelis earned his B.A. from Harvard College. He earned his J.D. from the University of Texas Law School.[4]
Career
Wheelis began his legal career in 1973. He has served as a judge for the 19th District Court for over 10 years. He has also worked as a public defender and as a deputy county attorney for Lincoln County. He served in the Montana Attorney General's Office, and has also worked as an administrative law judge.[4]
