|For a significant portion of my career I worked as a consultant helping Fortune 500 companies solve issues and improve. This aspect of my life allowed me the benefit of working across the USA and Europe solving issues, implementing solutions and building teams. Additionally I worked with US Attorney's Offices within multiple cities throughout the country.
The ability to work with multiple agencies, develop/complete projects and deliver is something I have done throughout my personal, public, family and work life.- #NoFlintHere - Do NOT allow the atrocities plaguing the water systems and impacting the citizens of Flint, MI to occur here.
- Communication/Education - Keep the public informed. Let the citizens of Orange County know the responsibilities of the office and how it benefits citizens and the community.
- Transparency - Operate with the upmost integrity, engage the public, help citizens, ensure information conveyed in meetings is readily available and communicate openly
Seek to improve Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor by expanding community education, outlining the benefits it offers to each citizen and protecting / conserving our lands (soil and water) for people today and future generations.
Dr. Dorothy Height was very inspirational to me and I still hold dear the time I met her in 1995. We have a terrific conversation and I was left thoroughly impressed.
No particular book, essay or film in particular.
as an adult I have worked in the technology arena for decades helping major Corporations solve problems. This covers the bulk of my career. Working as a consultant afforded me the benefit of working learning, understanding and helping a multitude of corporations across numerous industries. Helping others and implementing solutions has been of particular interest for me over the years.
Based on the goals of this office political experience is not mandated. The ability to work with others, understand roles and responsibilities, motivate and execute projects through completion are key factors to successfully fulfilling the role. This is something I have demonstrated throughout my career while working in corporate America, as well as working directly within and with nonprofit organizations and performing volunteer activities.
Ideally this role helps provide the necessary oversight to ensure the atrocities acted against citizens in Flint, MI never occur in Orange County Florida. As a reminder of what occurred in Flint, MI - The city’s water system was contaminated with lead and other pollutants, affecting the health and well-being of its residents.
I would be happy sit down and share quite a few.
We should our elected officers accountable and they should constantly practice fiduciary responsibility.

Throughout my career and volunteer life I embraced the goals of a servant leader. Leaders should "feed the troops first", something I learned working with H. Ross Perot.
With volunteer opportunities, nonprofit organizations, consulting duties and working in corporate America I have led numerous efforts to success benefiting each organization and entity.
Education to the community of the functions of the office is paramount. People need to understand the responsibilities of the office and the benefits afforded to them. This is especially true for our public and private landowners.
