Jimmie Wilson (Arkansas)
Jimmie Wilson (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Arkansas House of Representatives to represent District 12. He was disqualified from the general election scheduled on November 3, 2020.
Wilson was nominated on July 13, 2020, to fill a candidate vacancy left by former Rep. Chris Richey (D) who stepped down on June 30 of the same year.[1] On November 24, 2020, the Arkansas Supreme Court upheld a lower court ruling that a presidential pardon on misdemeanor charges didn't restore Wilson's right to serve in the state legislature. Since Wilson was found to be ineligible to hold public office, he was removed from the November 3, 2020, general election ballot.[2]
