Jimmy Harris (Democratic Party) is a member of the Louisiana State Senate, representing District 4. He assumed office on January 13, 2020. His current term ends on January 10, 2028.
Harris (Democratic Party) won re-election to the Louisiana State Senate to represent District 4 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Harris is a former Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 99 from 2016 to 2020.

A primary election was held on October 24, 2015, with a general election held in districts where necessary on November 21, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was September 10, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. CDT.[1]
