Jimmy Hickey (Republican Party) is a member of the Arkansas State Senate, representing District 4. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 8, 2029.
Hickey (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Arkansas State Senate to represent District 4. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
He was first elected to the chamber in 2012. He previously served as State Senate Majority Whip. On April 16, 2020, the Arkansas Senate elected Hickey as the Senate President Pro Tempore for the 2021-2023 session.[1]
Biography
Jimmy Hickey was born in Texarkana, Arkansas. Hickey earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from East Texas State University. His career experience includes working as a banker and the senior vice president of Commercial National Bank. Hickey served as the president and vice president of the Texarkana School Board.[2][3]
