Jimmy Jones Jr.
Jimmy Jones Jr. was a candidate for at-large representative on the Georgetown Independent School District school board in Texas. Jones was defeated in the at-large general election on May 6, 2017.

Three of the seven seats on the Georgetown Independent School District board of trustees were up for at-large general election on May 6, 2017. Two seats, Place 4 and Place 5, were up for regular election to three-year terms. Place 7 was up for special election to a one-year term. The Place 4 incumbent did not file for re-election, leaving David Phillips to run unopposed for the open seat. Place 5 incumbent Melanie Dunham defeated challenger Jimmy Jones Jr. The Place 7 incumbent Ben Stewart was appointed to the board after a member resigned and left the seat vacant. He won against Jaquita Wilson and Rida Ortego in the special election to finish the term.[1]
