Biography
JoAnne Guillemette earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois and a law degree from the University of Houston Law School. Her career experience includes practicing law and handling civil and criminal trials and appeals in state and federal courts across Illinois, D.C., Texas, New York, and Arkansas. She has previously served as a judicial officer for the Office of the Chief Judge, legal advisor to the Illinois Secretary of State, assistant attorney general, assistant state’s attorney, assistant city attorney, regional counsel for DCFS, and arbitrator. Before beginning her legal career, she worked as a social worker and teacher.[1]
