Jo Anna Dossett is a parent, a public educator, and a returned U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer. She has invested fifteen years in the lives of our youngest and most vulnerable Oklahomans, using her Masters Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language to equip children and adults across the Tulsa Metro for personal success. At the Capitol, she will fight for smart investment and innovation in education, healthcare, and criminal justice reform. She will continue to be a champion for our most vulnerable Oklahomans, and an advocate for their critical roles and share in the prosperity that awaits us all, in the vast expanses of Oklahoma's untapped potential.
I am passionate about the opportunities available to us all in the untapped potential of Oklahoma and Oklahomans. Key to unlocking that potential are: investing and innovating in public education, prioritizing the wellness of our people through access to healthcare, and rehabilitating individuals for whom crime has become an option.
I look up to my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother for the challenges they overcame and success they achieved in their lifetimes.
The most important characteristic for an elected official is to be a person who listens, to learn.
Oklahoma's greatest challenge is investing in its core services.
The ideal relationship between any two entities is one of mutual respect and good faith collaboration.
I'm always inspired by the stories from caregivers: those who are caring for children or beloved elders in their homes, and also those who are professional caregivers to vulnerable people.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Oklahoma

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
