Jo Beth Weber is a judge on the Second Judicial Circuit Court and a resident judge in Jefferson County, Illinois. She was elected to this position on November 6, 2012, and her current term expires in December 2018.[1]
Weber was a 2016 candidate for the Illinois Fifth District Appellate Court.[2] She ran to fill the vacancy created by James M. Wexstten's retirement on January 29, 2014.[3] Weber was defeated.

Weber graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law.[4]
Career
Weber began her career as an attorney for the Office of the State Appellate Prosecutor. She later served as associate general counsel for Southern Illinois University. Before her judicial election, she was deputy defender of the Fifth District State Appellate Defender’s Office.[4]

Weber was a 2016 candidate for the Illinois Fifth District Appellate Court. She filed on November 23, 2015.[2] Weber and challenger James R. Moore ran unopposed in their parties' primaries and faced each other in the November 8 general election.

Weber was elected to the Second Judicial Circuit Court on November 6, 2012, to fill the seat vacated by Terry H. Gamber. She defeated incumbent Judge Nicole Villani with 62.3 percent of the vote. She previously won the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 50.61 percent of the vote in the three-way race.[5][1][6][7]
