Castro Valley Unified School District school board At-large

Jo Loss is an at-large representative on the Castro Valley Unified Board of Education in California. She was first elected to the board in November 1995. Loss won re-election in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1]

Three of the five seats on the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbent Jo Loss filed for re-election and faced candidates Suresh Gupta, Monica Lee, Tojo Thomas, and Lavender Whitaker. Loss won re-election and Whitaker and Lee took the other seats on the ballot.[2][3]

Loss filed an exemption form detailing Loss would not spend or receive more than $2,000 for this campaign. Because of this, Loss did not have to file additional campaign finance reports.[4][5]

Endorsements

Loss was endorsed by the Alameda County Democratic Party and the community organization Evolve.[6][7]
