Joan Carter Conway
Joan Carter Conway (Democratic Party) was a member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 43. Conway left office in 2019.
Conway (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Maryland State Senate to represent District 43. Conway lost in the Democratic primary on June 26, 2018.
Conway served on the Baltimore City Council from 1996 to 1997.
Biography
Conway earned her A.A. from the Community College of Baltimore in 1987 and her B.A. in sociology from the University of Baltimore in 1988. When she served in the state Senate, her professional experience included working for the Model Cities Program, the Urban Services Agency, Helping Unite Baltimore #13, the Department of Housing and Community Development for Baltimore City, and Stability, Uniqueness, Renewal, and Elevation for the Jentry McDonald Corporation.
