Joan B. Lobis was a justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Civil Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. She was elected to this position in 2007.[1][2]
Education
Lobis received her B.A. degree from New York University in 1969 and her J.D. degree from Rutgers University in 1972.[1]
Career
Lobis was a judge of the Housing Part from 1985 to 1988 and a New York City Civil Court judge from 1998 to 1991. She then served as an Acting Supreme Court Justice until 1993. In 2007, she was elected to the Supreme Court.[1]
