Joan S. Cartwright
Joan S. Cartwright was a judge for the Superior Court of Alameda County in California. Judge Cartwright was appointed by former governor Pete Wilson on August 5, 1996 to succeed William Dunbar.[1][2] She retired from the court on January 31, 2014.[3]
Education
Cartwright received a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a J.D. from the University of Iowa.[4]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of Alameda County, Cartwright was a judge on the Oakland-Piedmont-Emeryville Municipal Court for five years.[2]
