Joan Wagener
Joan Wagener is a judge for Division 24 of the Pima County Superior Court in Arizona. She assumed office in 2014. Her current term ends on January 1, 2029.
Wagener ran for re-election for the Division 24 judge of the Pima County Superior Court in Arizona. She won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.
Wagener was appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer (R) on May 13, 2014, to replace Ted B. Borek and retained to a full four-year term on November 8, 2016.[1]
Biography
Joan Wagener received her B.A. in political science and her J.D. from the University of Arizona in 1985 and 1987, respectively.[1] Prior to her appointment, Wagener's career experience included the following:
- 2000-2014: Court commissioner, Pima County Superior Court
- 2012-2014: Family court
- 2000-2012: Juvenile court
- 1993-2000: Attorney/sole practitioner, Private practice
- 1990-1993: Attorney, Law firm of Ann Haralambie
- 1988-1990: Attorney, Richards & Pennington[1]
