Joann Otero
Joann Otero was a 2016 candidate for District 17 of the New York City Council in New York. She was defeated in the special election on February 23, 2016.
Biography
Otero grew up in the South Bronx and graduated from Walton High School. She received a B.A. and an MPA from the Metropolitan College of New York. Otero was the chief of staff for Councilwoman Maria del Carmen Arroyo from 2005 to 2015.[1]
