Jocelyn Newman
Jocelyn Newman is an at-large judge for the South Carolina Circuit Courts.[1] She was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly in February 2016.[2] She was re-elected on February 3, 2021, to a term expiring in 2027.[3]
Education
Newman received her B.S. in mathematics from the University of South Carolina and her J.D. from Howard University in 2004.[2]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Newman was a law clerk for Judge G. Thomas Cooper, Jr., an assistant solicitor for the Fifth Judicial Circuit, and an attorney at Richardson Plowden & Robinson, P.A.[2]
