Barrett (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Tennessee House of Representatives to represent District 69. He declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on August 6, 2026.[source]
Barrett also ran in a special election to the U.S. House to represent Tennessee's 7th Congressional District. He lost in the special Republican primary on October 7, 2025.
Biography
Jody Barrett graduated from Dickson County Senior High School in 1992. Barrett earned a B.A. in history from Lincoln Memorial University in 1996 and a J.D. from the University of Mississippi in 1999. His career experience includes working as an attorney.[1]
