Jody Letson
Jody Letson was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 7 of the Alabama House of Representatives.
Letson was a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 7 from 1996 to 2010.
Biography
Letson's professional experience includes working for Letson's Grocery, Letson Brothers Farm and as a jobsetter for General Motors.
Letson has been involved with a number of organizations, including the Board of Mental Health, Boys and Girls Club of Hillsboro, Cattleman's Association, Hillsboro Baptist Church, Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and the Lawrence County Historical Commission.[1]

2014
Elections for the Alabama House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Jody Letson was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Ken Johnson was unopposed in the Republican primary. Johnson defeated Letson in the general election.[2][3][4][5]

2010
Letson lost his re-election bid to the 7th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He was defeated by Ken Johnson in the November 2 general election.[6]

On November 7, 2006, Letson was re-elected to the 7th District Seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, defeating opponent Michael Robinson (R).[7]
