Biography
Jody Wagner was born in Canton, Ohio. She earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University. Her professional experience includes working as the president and founder of Jody's Popcorn, serving as state treasurer under former Virginia Governor Mark Warner (D), and serving as the secretary of finance under former Governor Tim Kaine (D).[1]

|Currently, she is the President of Jody's Popcorn - a small business that employs over 35 people locally, that she started in her garage 15 years ago.
She served as State Treasurer under Former Governor Mark Warner and as Secretary of Finance in the Cabinet of Former Governor Tim Kaine.
Jody has been a board member of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, the Virginia Port Authority, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Virginia Housing and Development Agency. She served on the Board of Directors for Eastern Virginia Medical School. She currently serves as a member of the Governor's Advisory Council on Revenue Estimates and Chairwoman of the Tidewater Jewish Foundation.
Jody and her husband Dr. Alan Wagner have lived in Virginia Beach for 32 years, and have four married children and four grandchildren.- Building a skilled workforce to develop and diversify the economy in Coastal Virginia
