Joe Balyeat
Joe Balyeat (b. October 26, 1956) was a Republican member of the Montana State Senate, representing District 34 from 2005 until his resignation on June 6, 2012.[1]
Balyeat earned his B.S. from the University of Montana in 1978.
Balyeat was Chair of Montanans For Better Government from 1998 to 2000. He has worked as a Certified Public Accountant from 1978 to the present. He has also been an author since 1990 and Director of Montana Shooting Sports Association since 1998.
Balyeat was Chief Spokesman for the CI-75 Tax Limitation Campaign in 1998. He served in the Montana State House of Representatives from 2001 to 2005. He joined the Montana State Senate in 2005, serving until June 6, 2012, when he resigned to focus more on activism. He is the state director of Americans for Prosperity.[2]
