Joe Broder
Joe Broder was a Republican candidate for District 48 of the Connecticut House of Representatives. The primary election was on August 10, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.
About
Broder earned his B.A. in political science from Trinity College in 1960 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1963. His professional experience includes working as town attorney for Colchester, senior partner at Broder and Butts Attorneys, special counsel for the Town of East Haddam and a self-employed attorney. Broder also served as a commander in the United States Navy Reserves from 1965 to 1989.[1]

Broder was uncontested in the August 10 primary. He was defeated by incumbent Democrat Linda Orange in the November 2 general election.[2][3]

Broder and his wife, Andrea, have one child. They reside in Colchester, Connecticut. In addition to running for state office, Broder has served with the Colchester Fish and Game Club, Colchester Jaycees, Colchester Chapter of Rotary International, American Legion, Colchester Business Association and Colchester Grange.[1]
