|- Change: Law enforcement agencies across the nation are facing intense scrutiny. When I am Sheriff, Harris County Sheriff's officers will go out on calls with better de-escalation training. I will also put in place multiple internal mechanisms to ensure that our officers are supported and held accountable.
- Safety: Houston is not safe for women. Since Ed Gonzalez has been in office, there have been 1,985 reported rape cases. Only 246 of those have been solved. Additionally, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, there was a 48% year-over-year (2019/2020) increase in homicides from March-May.
- Connection: As Harris County Sheriff, I will set the law enforcement priorities for the 3rd largest county in the nation while regularly seeking to understand and solve the concerns and needs of the citizens through a Civilian Advisory Board.
